Friday evening, 5:30 – 7:30pm

Saturday All Day, 9:00am – 4:30pm

Adams State University

Alamosa, Colorado  81102

It begins Friday evening, October 24, 2014, 5:30 – 7:30PM, Room 101 in McDaniel Hall, Adams State University, Alamosa, Colorado with an informative and inspirational presentation by author and shamanic minister, John Berry Deakyne, entitled:

The Magic of the Ancients Meets the Wave of the Future

We call this portion of the program “the Activation”.  Here you will begin to open to your own shamanic nature.  We will conclude with an abbreviated Breathwork Journey with music and a brief grounding circle.  Here you will get a taste of the Shamanic Breathwork method and begin laying a foundation for a transformational full day process tomorrow.  Attendance at both gatherings is recommended but not required.

The Shamanic Breathwork Journey

Saturday, October 25, 9:00am – 4:30pm, Room 309 in the Student Union Building, Adams State University, Alamosa, Colorado.   These events are free but the Saturday workshop is limited to 50 participants.  Preregister at:  719-587-8376 or pennysanders@adams.edu

Bring one or two blankets and a pillow to make a comfortable journey pallet.  Bring a closed bottle of water; lunch will be provided on-site for a small fee.

This will be a highly experiential day that will include a full breathwork journey session, shamanic ceremony, and a shamanic art process.

Shamanic Breathwork is modern science combined with ancient wisdom and we use it as a tool to balance our energy centers, reboot our nervous system, and to recalibrate our minds so we can more easily navigate the contentious energies of the planet.  We release the imbedded stories we have carried for generations and we replace the wounding with understanding and the gifts of spirit.  This full-day retreat is a gift to yourself; you will come away renewed.

John Berry Deakyne is an ordained Shamanic Minister, who studied and apprenticed with Linda Star Wolf, who literally wrote the book on Shamanic Breathwork™.  John was born to this work and started on his Shamanic Path almost forty years ago when he was invited to sacred ceremonies with one of the last powerful Medicine Men of the Lakota Sioux, Dawson No Horse, near Wounded Knee, South Dakota.  John founded the Earth School for Souls in Sedona, AZ.   He is a pipe carrier, a practiced counselor, an author and educator; and he is a Certified Breathwork Facilitator.

Two days of transformation brought to you by the Counselor Education Department of Adams State University.  For more information, contact Dr. Penny Sanders at 719-587-8376 or pennysanders@adams.edu  or visit: earthschoolforsouls.com/events/adams-state/
